Fucina Architettura is specialized in architecture and interior design and sees itself as a “fucina”, which means “forge” or “think tank”, for space development. It is based on merging the uniqueness of a particular place with the needs and desires of the clients, enriched by the know-how of traditional craftsmanship in contemporary bespoke design. Founded in Pistoia, a small town in the heart of Tuscany, Fucina Architettura draws its creativity from the legacy of local craftsmanship, reflecting the Italian sense of beauty. Based on its intercultural experience, Fucina Architettura developed a high sensitivity in recognizing the very essence of each place. Our aim is to transform this perception into a user-oriented experience of well-being through high quality and uniqueness.
The search for beautiful materials and for the best way to valorise them, leads us to rediscover Tuscan artisans and create, through their knowledge, projects of the highest quality. By designing specifically for each location, we forge each material to obtain a design that is strongly linked to the concept of Made in Italy.
Arch. Lotte Breithaupt began her career at Studio Klaus Roth Architekten in Berlin with which she collaborated for 6 years. Among her projects were the restoration of the theatres “Deutsches Theater Berlin” and “Staatstheater Stuttgart”.
In 2011, she returned to Italy (where she grew up as a child) as Senior Architect at the Studio Prof. Hans Kollhoff in Florence. There, she worked on the detailed planning phase of the project “The Stations of Art – Arco Mirelli”.
In 2014, urged by her interest in interior architecture, she began working at the Studio Michele Bonan, where she followed the work of interior design of luxury properties in Italy, Austria and London.
At present she is focusing on projects of interior architecture for hotels. Lotte is particularly passionate about “Made in Italy”, a perfect combination of bespoke tradition and good design.
